A Santa Paula man was shot in the left hand by an irate motorist in a car next to him on the Ventura Freeway near the Balboa Boulevard exit, authorities said Friday.
After the 7:30 p.m. Thursday incident, Ricardo Verduzco, 28, drove himself to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where he was treated and released, Los Angeles police said.
“There was some kind of dispute between the drivers of the two cars, and the other driver pulled up next to him and shot him once,” Detective Joel Price said.
The assailant, a man, was believed to be driving a recent-model gray Chevrolet. Police released no other other details.
