After 24 games and three rounds, Jess Stayrook of San Diego and Aleta Sill of Dearborn, Mich., were tied with for the lead in the $200,000 Cambridge Mixed Doubles tournament in Reno, Nev.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Sophomore Nikki Wallace was named team Most Valuable Player by the University of San Diego. The All-West Coast Conference middle blocker had 335 kills as the Toreras finished 18-14. Junior Kristi Harris received two honors, the Players’ and Team Captain’s award, while freshman Lynn Randall received the Coaches’ Award.
