An out-of-control vehicle seriously injured a man last week when it crashed into another car, pinning the man between the second vehicle and a gas pump at a Westlake Village service station, police said.
Police said Bertila Ricci, 66, of Sun Valley was driving north on Westlake Boulevard about 3:40 p.m. Friday. As she started to turn into the service station, she lost control of her vehicle and it crashed into a parked car.
Michael Lewis, 45, of Thousand Oaks suffered severe injuries to his left foot, ankle and leg when the second car struck him.
Lewis was taken to Westlake Medical Center’s intensive care unit, where he was reported in serious condition Saturday.
No citations were issued.
