Norman’s O.C. Predecessor

Before “The Connie Norman Show” came along, during October and the first two weeks of this month, XEK-AM aired a weekly, gay-oriented program co-produced by K. Bradley Hudson, who had produced “Spectrum News Network,” Orange County’s first television news program focusing on gay issues.
Bradley said Friday that he decided to discontinue his XEK program, a live, call-in show called “OUTlook,” once he learned of Norman’s show because he didn’t want to compete with it, particularly for advertisers.
He said he is not planning to produce another radio show, though he is pursuing the possibility of producing “Spectrum News,” which aired for 2 1/2 years throughout Orange and Los Angeles counties on cable TV, on other cable outlets.
