The International Amateur Athletic Federation refused to accept The Athletics Congress’ decision to remove the suspension from 400-meter world record-holder Butch Reynolds. The IAAF said it would refer the matter to a three-member IAAF arbitration panel.
Reynolds was suspended from international competition for two years by the federation for allegedly testing positive for a banned substance at a 1990 meet in Monte Carlo.
