13 Injured as Oil Leak Sparks Power Plant Fire

WILSONVILLE, Ala. — A fire broke out in a power plant, injuring 13 people and forcing the shutdown of four of its five generators, the Alabama Power Co. said. The victims, who suffered smoke inhalation, were hospitalized, and several were later released. The fire, which was caused by a leak in the oil system, destroyed the control rooms of two units at the plant.
