Praemium Prizes: Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman was among recipients of the Japan Art Assn.’s Praemium Imperiale prizes announced Wednesday in Tokyo. The awards were set up two years ago to honor artists whose works fall outside the Nobel Prize. Others receiving the prizes, worth $113,000 each, were French painter Balthus, Eduardo Chillida of Spain for sculpture, Gae Aulenti of Italy for architecture, and Austrian composer Gyorgy Ligeti.
