FileNet Corp., the Costa Mesa maker of computerized document storage systems, reported its third-quarter earnings of $1 million, or 10 cents a share, contrasted with a year-earlier loss of $506,000, or 10 cents a share.
The Costa Mesa company said its revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose 33% to $29.5 million.
The company said it added 20 new customers during the quarter.
“The overall results during the third quarter lead me to believe that the market for image-processing systems is continuing to expand in spite of the continuing difficult economic environment,” Ted Smith, president and chief executive, said in a statement.
For the nine-month period, FileNet earned $4.8 million, or 45 cents per share, on revenue of $85.4 million.
