LESS BAD: Does everything seem twice as expensive as it did a few years ago? Take heart. According to a Chapman University survey (D5), the price of raw materials used by local industries is rising more slowly. . . . And that often means the price of the finished product from the factory won’t be quite as expensive. Even better, says Chapman, it’s a sign the local economy is perking up.
