An electrical fire at a Canyon Country house caused an estimated $65,000 in damage Tuesday morning, but no one was injured, the Los Angeles County sheriff’s and fire departments said.
Both parents had gone to work and their four children had left for school when the fire broke out about 7:40 a.m. in the 19000 block of Lonerock Street, authorities said.
Fire Capt. Joe Romero said the cause appeared to an electrical short circuit in a living room wall socket. The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes.
