To prevent a possible conflict with the World Series, No. 4 Michigan will play Minnesota in a rare Friday night college football game.
Both games were scheduled for Saturday at the Metrodome. The Michigan-Minnesota game originally was set for 1:30 p.m. CDT, to be followed six hours later by Game 6 of the World Series.
The football game was switched to Friday night because under the original schedule Dome workers wouldn’t have had enough time to ready the field for baseball if a sixth Series game is necessary.
