Ex-Soviet Ideology Chief Commits Suicide

MOSCOW — A former Communist Party ideology chief committed suicide by hanging himself in his apartment, the Soviet news agency Tass reported Saturday--the sixth Communist official to take his life since the attempted coup in August.
Sergei Klimov, former ideology chief of the Volgograd Communist Party regional committee, killed himself Friday, Tass said.
