Simi Valley 41, Agoura 21--Eric Bennett completed 11 of 24 passes for 198 yards and four touchdowns to lead host Simi Valley.
Sophomore running back Jevon Markarian, senior wide receiver Dave Romines and junior wide receiver Tom Herman scored two touchdowns each for Simi Valley (5-1, 3-0). Herman had five receptions for 90 yards, and Romines had four receptions for 127 yards, as Simi Valley won its fourth game in a row. Romines also rushed for 89 yards in four carries.
A 79-yard touchdown pass from Bennett to Romines gave Simi Valley a 21-0 lead with 5:20 left in the first half.
Agoura (2-4, 0-3), which had six turnovers, narrowed its deficit to 27-7 in the second quarter on a one-yard run by Pat Fitzgerald. The run was set up by a 43-yard flea-flicker pass from quarterback Matt Morrow to Josh Markiewicz to Joe Frizelle.
Fitzgerald, who caught five passes for 76 yards and gained 62 yards in eight carries, scored again late in the third quarter on a 12-yard pass from Morrow to narrow Agoura’s deficit to 34-13.
