FOUNTAIN VALLEY — A cashier at a computer store was shot and killed Friday night, and one man was arrested, police said.
The name of the dead woman was not immediately available. Police at the scene said they believe robbery was the motive.
The shooting occurred about 10:30 p.m. behind the COMPUSA computer store at 9380 Warner Ave.
Although details of the shooting were sketchy, the store’s manager, Dave Hutchinson, said police called him at home and asked him to come to the store to open it up.
“I just thought it was a break-in,” Hutchinson, 41, of Fountain Valley said. “But they told me when I got here that it was a shooting and it was pretty bad.”
One man was arrested, but his name was not immediately released. Police Lt. Bob Mosley said investigators were looking for the suspect’s two accomplices.
