Skid Row Suspect Kills Woman, Wounds 2 Others

A woman was killed and two men seriously wounded Thursday in what police believe was an attempted robbery in the Skid Row section of Los Angeles.
The three victims were shot near the corner of 3rd and Main streets shortly after 8 p.m., said Los Angeles Police Lt. Harlan Ward.
He said their assailant escaped on foot. The victims were taken to County-USC Medical Center, where the woman died of a gunshot wound to the head. The men, ages 50 and 35, were listed in serious condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
