Rockville, Md. — Telesphere Communications Inc., one of the nation’s leading providers of 900 number services, said its creditors want to drive it into bankruptcy for not paying its phone bill.
It said a group of creditors filed a petition against the company under Chapter 7 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in Chicago.
Telesphere’s clients provide party line, sports, weather and horoscope services, among other things. The company said the creditors filed the petition in a bid to collect money under split-free contracts with Telesphere.
