NORTH & SOUTH: When a San Francisco photo lab told the FBI that a prominent local photographer’s pictures might involve child pornography, the result was a major flap--and trouble for the lab, which faced pickets, loss of business and a bomb threat. But when Irvine Photo Graphics went to the cops last week after getting film from a Laguna Beach photographer showing a 12-year-old model semi-nude, the reaction was different: Hundreds of calls of support, compared to just “three or four” negative calls, reports lab owner Rick Farrell.
