Holiday Closings

Columbus Day is Saturday, but many places will be observing the holiday on Monday. The following will be closed on that day: All state and federal offices. City offices in Stanton will also be closed.

County, state and federal courthouses.

The county clerk’s office.

Many banks and savings and loans. Call your local branch to confirm.

Schools in the Irvine, Laguna Beach, Los Alamitos, Orange unified districts and Westminster Elementary School District.

Mail: There will be no mail delivery on Monday. All post offices will be closed and mail deposited in

mailboxes on that day will be picked up according to the

posted holiday schedule.

Trash: There will be trash pickup by city and county refuse workers on Monday.

Buses: Orange County Transit District buses will run on regular schedule Monday. Dial-a-ride and car-pool services will be available.

Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities

will be open during regular hours Monday.
