Wilson’s Veto of Gay Job Bias Bill

So California Republican leaders felt that AB 101 was “anti-family.” Whose family, pray tell? My family? Fanatics like the Rev. Lou Sheldon and Rep. William Dannemeyer do not reflect the values of my family. Fairness, tolerance, choice, responsibility and a reverence for the truth are values. Bigotry, hatred, ignorance and stupidity are not. Christmas trees and Thanksgiving dinners are traditions. Book-burning, censorship of films and TV and interference with people’s educations, livelihoods, health and civil liberties are not. Take it from the traditional values of my mainstream, heterosexual, taxpaying family: Wilson and Republican Sen. John Seymour have played into the hands of people whose ludicrous minds wallow yet in the Dark Ages.
