Tustin kicker Zach Mathews set two school records last week in the Tillers’ 25-20 victory over Capistrano Valley. Mathews, a sophomore, kicked a 47-yard field goal, breaking Jason Lavin’s school mark of 46 yards set in 1987.
Mathews’ four field goals were also a record, breaking Tim Kotlar’s mark of three set in 1986. Mathews was playing in only his second varsity game.
