NEW YORK — Highland Penny, ridden by Angel Cordero Jr., came from last to score a nose victory in the $84,750 Noble Damsel Stakes on the opening day of Belmont Park’s fall meeting.
Southern Tradition led most of the way and hung on to be runner-up, a neck ahead of Virgin Michael.
