Sony Acquires Video Company: Sony Pictures Entertainment has become sole owner of the former RCA-Columbia Home Video company after buying RCA’s 50% stake. The two companies declined to discuss financial terms, but sources put the value of the buyout at about $350 million. The deal ends litigation between the two companies. Sony will rename the video operation Columbia TriStar Home Video.
