Last-Place Capitals Defeat Strings Again

The Sacramento Capitals, in last place in the TeamTennis West Division, beat the second-place Strings for the second time this season, 27-21, Tuesday night at Sacramento.

Sacramento’s Teri Whitlinger defeated Robin White in women’s singles, 6-1, and teamed with her sister, Tami, in women’s doubles to defeat White and Mary Lou Daniels, 6-3.

Jimmy Connors of the Strings defeated Kelly Jones, 6-5. In mixed doubles, John Lloyd and White beat Robert Van’t Hof and Tami Whitlinger, 6-4. Jones and Van’t Hof won the men’s doubles over Connors and Lloyd, 6-5.
