NEWBURY PARK : Man to Be Arraigned in Bowling Incident
A Newbury Park man who allegedly tossed a bowling ball at another man’s head during an argument is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, a Ventura County sheriff’s detective said Monday.
Jamey Paul Famularcano, 19, faces assault charges in connection with the attack on Scott DeAngelo, 18, of Newbury Park, Detective Ernie Montagna said. The two men were at the Conejo Bowl on Thousand Oaks Boulevard about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when a fight apparently broke out over a bet, Montagna said.
DeAngelo suffered a concussion, a broken nose and cuts on his head and face after he was hit with a 10-to-12 pound bowling ball, Montagna said.
