MOORPARK : State Jobs Office Opens New Branch

The state Employment Development Department has opened a branch in Moorpark.
A representative of the EDD’s Simi Valley office will be at the Catholic Charities office, 77 1st St., from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday, employment program representative Debbie Hall said.
The EDD closed a previous office in Moorpark due to a staffing shortage, said Hall, who will be serving at the Moorpark location.
In the three days since the office opened, about 20 people came into the office to fill out applications, Hall said.
