Moulton-Patterson Named to Coastal Commission
Huntington Beach City Councilwoman Linda Moulton-Patterson was named Wednesday to the California Coastal Commission.
Moulton-Patterson, president of a government and public affairs cable television consulting service, replaces former Burbank City Councilwoman Mary Lou Howard.
The appointment was made by the state Senate Rules Committee just two days before the Coastal Commission is scheduled to discuss whether to fire its executive director, Peter Douglas.
Moulton-Patterson, 48, the wife of former U.S. Rep. Jerry Patterson (D-Santa Ana), said Wednesday that she supports Douglas. Before the Rules Committee action, Senate President Pro Tem David A. Roberti (D-Los Angles) said that all the finalists for the slot had indicated that they would back Douglas.
