Westcorp: The Irvine diversified financial services company whose principal subsidiary is Western Financial Savings Bank posted second-quarter earnings of $5.5 million, up 4% from the $5.3 million recorded for the 1990 second quarter. Net income for the first half of the year rose 18% to $9.7 million from $8.2 million.
