From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The Assembly on Tuesday approved and sent to Gov. Pete Wilson a bill to increase California State University student fees by 20% next fall. Under the bill, the $780 annual fee would jump to $936 per student. However, half of the increase is a one-time surcharge for the 1991-92 academic year. The Assembly passed the bill by Assemblyman Paul Woodruff (R-Redlands) on a 55-10 vote, one more than the required two-thirds majority. There was little debate. The Senate passed the same measure earlier.
