Doing the Wrong Thing? The National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations, an umbrella group representing 66 ethnic organizations, called on CBS Tuesday to cancel its planned broadcast of Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing” on July 13. In a letter sent to CBS head Laurence Tisch, group chairman William Denis Fugazy claimed that the movie advocates the use of violence to settle neighborhood racial tensions.
