Milan, Italy, has put in a bid to host the 2000 Summer Olympics and documents announcing the official candidacy of the north Italian business center have been sent to the International Olympic Committee, the city council said. Other declared bids for the Games have come from Beijing, Berlin, Sydney and Manchester, England. The IOC will make its decision on the host city in September of 1993.
