Benton Oil Completes Well at Colorado Site

Benton Oil & Gas Co., a Ventura-based oil and gas exploration and production company, said it has completed an oil and gas well at a field in northeastern Colorado.
The well, the fifth that the company has completed at the field, is expected to be in full operation by July 31, Benton said.
The four other wells at the site produce a combined 240 barrels of oil and 1.3 million cubic feet of gas a day. Benton said it plans to continue developing about 10,000 acres in the same area and is conducting geologic and seismic analyses.
