Citicorp May Cut More Jobs: Citicorp, the nation’s biggest banking company, may slash up to 10,000 jobs on top of the more than 7,000 cut the past six months, Chairman John S. Reed said at a recent meeting with summer interns. Some of the cuts could be offset by hiring, however, a Citicorp spokeswoman said. Citicorp has been troubled by problem consumer and commercial loans, which have mounted amid the recession and slumping real estate market.
