MISSION VIEJO : Council to Vote on Plan Panel Nominee
A local real estate executive will be nominated today for an open seat on the city Planning Commission.
Councilman Robert D. Breton said Timothy Watson will be his choice to fill a seat that was vacated last month by the resignation of Charles Zimmerman.
Zimmerman left the post five months after being appointed to the commission, citing time conflicts with his professional life.
Watson is an executive vice president of PFT Inc., an Irvine-based real estate management company, Breton said.
“I interviewed all the candidates for the seat, and they all were outstanding individuals,” Breton said, “and yet, when I interviewed (Watson), I was convinced he was the most capable person for the job.”
Watson was described by Breton as an “extremely mature and thoughtful person, an individual who can be very diplomatic and sensitive to the environment.”
The council will vote today on Watson’s nomination.
