Scripps Howard Broadcasting Co., an 80% owned unit of E. W. Scripps Co., said it purchased Baltimore television station WMAR from a unit of Gillett Broadcasting of Maryland Inc. for $125 million. . . . The Investment Company Institute reported that the assets of the nation’s 556 money market mutual funds fell $5.27 billion to $464.46 billion in the week ended May 29.
