William DeAcutis; Actor in Plays and Films

William DeAcutis, 33, stage and screen actor and writer known for his roles in the play “The Normal Heart” and the film “Broadcast News.” A graduate of the Juilliard School, DeAcutis played the role of Tommy Boatwright five years ago in “Heart,” the daring play about acquired immune deficiency syndrome. He also had important roles in the films “9 1/2 Weeks,” “Almost an Angel” and “Talk Radio” and the recently completed “Other People’s Money,” starring Danny DeVito. On May 5 in Los Angeles of brain cancer.
