Anniversary Present: The National Gallery of Art in Washington has received a major grant of $7.5 million from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in honor of the museum’s 50th anniversary. The grant will be used to endow three new senior positions and to support scholarly projects involving the institution’s permanent collection.
