CAMARILLO : Car-Truck Collision Kills Woman, 81

An elderly Camarillo woman died Thursday after her car hit a truck, a Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Eva Pfister, 81, was driving east on Santa Rosa Road near Oak Canyon Road at 12:40 p.m. when, for unknown reason, she lost control of her car and collided with a westbound truck being driven by Howard Paxton, 32, of Santa Paula.
Pfister was taken by ambulance to Pleasant Valley Hospital, where she died an hour later. Paxton was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
