SEC Files Action Against ZZZZ Best Auditors:...
SEC Files Action Against ZZZZ Best Auditors: The Securities and Exchange Commission filed two complaints in Los Angeles federal court against two accountants for allegedly fraudulent audits of ZZZZ Best Co. The suit alleges that the accountants--Samuel F. Greenspan and Larry G. Baker--provided fraudulent audit information that was incorporated in documents submitted to the SEC for public stock offerings. ZZZZ Best was a residential and commercial carpet cleaning company founded by Barry J. Minkow. Much of the business was fictitious. Minkow was convicted of fraud and is serving a 25-year sentence.
