SIMI VALLEY : School Board Moves Meeting to City Hall
- Share via
Simi Valley school board members said they will hold their next meeting at City Hall because it offers a larger and more comfortable meeting room.
Board members said another advantage of the Simi Valley City Council chamber is that it contains camera equipment and a public address system that would allow meetings to be televised.
However, no decision has been made on whether to pay Comcast Cablevision $50 an hour to televise the meetings, officials said.
The city has agreed to allow the Simi Valley Unified School District to use the building for free.
The board’s next meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 21 at City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.
