Man Killed by Stray Bullet Identified

ANAHEIM — A man killed by a stray bullet from a drive-by shooting was identified Sunday as Francisco Vieyra, 25, police said.
Vieyra was sleeping on the floor of his apartment Friday night when a bullet fired from a passing car pierced a wall and struck him in the head, according to police. Vieyra was rushed to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead a short time after the 11:05 p.m. shooting.
No suspects were in custody Sunday in connection with the murder, but an investigation is continuing, police said.
