Teamsters Approve New Contract: Rank-and-file members of the Teamsters union have approved a new three-year national agreement covering long-haul drivers and others in the union’s freight division. The union said the new pact, which raises hourly wages by $1.40 over the 36-month term of the contract, was approved by a vote of 61,903 to 29,305. About 148,000 union members were eligible to vote.
