Pasadena : Parole Office Fight Goes On

Although the new parole office in Pasadena has been open for more than a week at 333 E. Walnut St., the city is continuing its legal fight against it.
Attorney Bonnie Adair, who represents the city, last week filed an appeal of a Jan. 20 Superior Court decision allowing the parole office to open.
Adair said the appeal will argue the state did not follow proper procedures and violated the California Environmental Quality Act.
City directors have fought since 1988 against the office, which will serve 1,100 parolees.
