Nation IN BRIEF : IDAHO : Peyote Legislation Sent To Governor

The Idaho Legislature has passed a bill to legalize religious use of peyote, but Gov. Cecil D. Andrus has not indicated whether he will sign it. Such a law would make Idaho the 24th state to allow religious use of the hallucinogen, which Indian leaders say has medicinal as well as sacramental uses in the Native American Church.
