OTRA Securities Reports Big Jump in 1990 Earnings
OTRA Securities Group, a Glendale financial services concern, said its profit for 1990 soared to $1.56 million from $191,486 the previous year.
OTRA, which provides securities clearing and transfer agent services, said the higher earnings in the year ended Dec. 31 came on a 26% rise in its annual revenue, to $12.6 million from $10 million.
The company attributed the earnings gain to more consistent fee income from some of its services, a streamlining of its marketing efforts and increased demand for its clearing services from regional stock brokerage firms.
