Two bank-robbery suspects were seriously injured Monday when their car overturned during a high-speed chase on Interstate 15, San Diego police said.
The men had just robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 10788 Black Mountain Road at 3:30 p.m. when police spotted their car traveling south on I-15 and tried to pull them over, police spokesman Pete Cruz said.
The driver sped away and lost control of the vehicle, which flipped over just north of Adams Avenue, Cruz said.
One man was in critical condition and the other was in serious condition at Mercy Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said. Their names were unavailable Monday night.
