EMPTY TOWERS: The collapse of a deal to rent six floors of the new Lakeshore Towers office building near John Wayne Airport (D5) will echo through the real estate industry. . . . Developers say the weak office market and a scarcity of real estate loans mean far fewer buildings will be constructed “on spec”--with no particular tenant in mind. Most office towers around the airport were built exactly that way, including Lakeshore Towers.
