This letter is in praise of your reporting of the crisis in the Persian Gulf. I have been a devoted reader of The Times for many years, spending countless pleasurable, often predawn, hours with your newspaper. Your coverage of this story has been, to me, a tour de force. The individual articles have been thoughtful, professional and comprehensive. The inter-story relationships and consistencies, both within a single edition and over time in several editions, show a fine managerial and editorial hand at work.
