Hit-and-Run Kills Quartz Hill Woman

A 61-year-old Quartz Hill woman died Sunday after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Lancaster, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
Delores Kelsey was hit as she stood next to her parked car at Avenue L and 25th Street West and died of her injuries at Antelope Valley Hospital, Lt. Dave Collin said.
“She either had just gotten out or was about to get in,” when a car that had been weaving in and out of traffic struck her, Collin said. Witnesses described the car as a 1969 Volkswagen with orange primer spots and California license plates 1 LVP 848.
