Happy 50th: James Stewart and Ginger Rogers will celebrate winning Oscars on the night of this year’s Academy Awards at a gala benefit. But the celebration will be for Oscars that these film greats won 50 years ago. The American Spirit Foundation will honor the anniversary of Stewart and Rogers’ Academy Awards at Stringfellows in Beverly Hills. On Feb. 27, 1941, Stewart received his statuette for “The Philadelphia Story” and Rogers won for “Kitty Foyle.”
