Olympio Wins Sausalito Stakes

Olympio followed the pace of favored Media Plan until the stretch, took the lead in the run for home and moved out to a two-length victory in the $100,000 Sausalito Stakes Saturday at Bay Meadows.
Olympio, ridden by Tommy Chapman and trained by Ron McAnally, covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:41 1/5 and returned $5.00, $3.00 and $2.40.
Media Plan, who was sold to rap singer M.C. Hammer this week, finished second with Ron Hansen aboard and paid $2.80 and $2.40. Pillaring, ridden by Ron Warren Jr., finished third in the field of six and paid $2.80 to show.
